Find out more about proposals to introduce a blanket 20mph speed limit on Surbiton’s roads at drop-in sessions today (Thursday) from 2-4pm and from 6-8pm at Glenmore House.
Kingston council’s highways and transport team will be at the venue in The Crescent, Surbiton, to hear your views and to give you more information on the proposed scheme. No need to book, just turn up.
The council wants to introduce the speed limit throughout the borough except on private roads and those which come under Transport for London’s control such as part of Ewell Road and the A3.
Its aim is to reduce accidents, improve air quality, and encourage people to walk or cycle because, with a reduced speed limit, they will feel safer it says.
If you can’t make the drop-in sessions today, you can also have your say by completing a short survey on the council’s website at www.kingstonletstalk.co.uk/20mph
