Chelsea begin their attempt to wrest the Continental Cup from reigning holders Arsenal with a game against Brighton at Kingsmeadow on Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile Arsenal will be playing London rivals West Ham.

There are 22 women’s clubs competing for the trophy, with Manchester City away to Birmingham, and new girls Manchester United facing Liverpool.

The competition is organised into groups, with the group stages playing out between now and December 13.

Chelsea Women are in a group with Palace, Spurs, London Bees and Yeovil as well as Brighton & Hove Albion.

The top two teams from each group will go through to the knock-out rounds. The quarter-finals are set for January 8/9, with the semi-finals starting on February 5.

The final has been pencilled in for Saturday February 23, depending on TV coverage.
