Anyone under 20 or over 65 will get free entry to the Women’s Champions League match against Lyon on Sunday April 28, writes Jane Grove.

The match kicks off at 2pm at Kingsmeadow – allowing fans time to dash home at the end and watch the men take on Man U at Old Trafford at 4.30pm.

Tickets to the Champions League semi-final second leg (the first takes place in Lyon at 4pm the week before, on Sunday April 21) are on sale now, at £6 for anyone not categorised as a junior or senior.

Season tickets need to buy a ticket as European games are not covered by their year-long deal.

Online ticket sales stop at 10pm on Saturday April 27 – the night before the game – and a full house is expected at Kingsmeadow, which now boasts some of the highest regular turnouts in the women’s game.

If any tickets still remain unsold, they’ll be available – for cash – up until 12.30pm on the day of the match.
