“Unbelievably, despite three decades of shows, we haven’t tackled Aladdin or Ali Baba,” says scriptwriter Phil Cooper. Will it give Disney a run for its money? “You bet,” says Phil. “Audiences can enjoy a streetwise Aladdin, a cross-dressing genie, a really boo-able Grand Vizier and Ali Baba’s crew of pathetic pilferers.”
