Lend a hand before storm hits

Lend a hand before storm hits

It’s the calm before the storm so volunteers at Queen’s Promenade are making the most of it this morning (Saturday) by putting up new tit and robin bird boxes made by Thames Ditton’s Men in Sheds project. Other tasks at the pocket park along the riverside walk – if time allows before Storm Dennis hits

It’s the calm before the storm so volunteers at Queen’s Promenade are making the most of it this morning (Saturday) by putting up new tit and robin bird boxes made by Thames Ditton’s Men in Sheds project.

Other tasks at the pocket park along the riverside walk – if time allows before Storm Dennis hits – will include finishing a raised bed, sanding down and painting fences and a salmon post, litter picking and hanging up a bug house.

Stroll down to the riverside this morning and see what’s going on to improve the area for the community and its wildlife – and if you can lend a hand so much the better, the Queen’s Promenade Friends group would be delighted to see you.
