Surbiton’s Regency dance class, which meets on Wednesday (Mar 18) at St Mark’s church hall, WILL go ahead… thanks to a mix of old and new precautions against coronavirus.

Libby Curzon, who runs the popular and keenly priced classes, says that she is pressing ahead with the next event, with the help of formal gloves and hand sanitiser.

“Our classes will continue until such events are restricted,” she pledged. “We hope you will continue to come.”

The classes are open to all. They start at 8pm, run through until 10.30pm, no experience is necessary and the fiver admission includes a cuppa and biscuits.

Upcoming dates at the modern hall in Church Hill Road, Surbiton – just up the hill from the station – are: Mar 18, Apr 1, Apr 15, Apr 29, May 13, May 27, Jun 10, Jun 24, Jul 8 and Jul 22.

All you need are enthusiasm, a love of Bronte novels, flexible soft-sole shoes and lightweight clothing.
