It’s back! Cento Uno has rebooted Operation Cobra, its lockdown delivery and collection service.

Non contact, same-day delivery or collection is available on Wednesday to Friday evenings and from noon to 9pm on Saturdays at the neighbourhood Italian restaurant in Maple Road, Surbiton.

Pizza, pasta, sides, puds and drinks including wine, beer, cider and cocktails are available. There are even pizza-making kits for you to have a go yourselves at home!

The menu is available on the Cento Uno website at www.centouno.co.uk

Delivery is free within a two-mile radius.

Restaurateur Sam Berry, who opened the eaterie in May last year, had started a delivery and takeaway service in the middle of March (throwing in a tongue-in-cheek loo roll for good measure too), but pulled the plug four days later, despite 200 orders a day, after the PM’s address to the nation when the lockdown was imposed.

Six weeks later, Operation Cobra is back on.

“It’s much better organised now,” Sam told The Good Life. “It was mad before, so busy – it was hard to keep up with the demand. Now we have time slots so people can book and everything can be delivered and collected on time.”
