Surbiton fashionistas are breathing a sigh of relief. Shoes at Last is back!
The upmarket, designer-label, boutique in Maple Road, Surbiton, run by Sarah Taylor, pictured, is open for business.
Sarah closed her fashion store which sells clothes, shoes and accessories, on March 21 because of the coronavirus crisis. Twelve weeks later she’s back with a one-in, one-out policy.
There’s hand sanitiser at the entrance, and she will also dish out disposable gloves if clients prefer. The fitting room is closed but you can take a garment away and try it on. If returned within five days it is quarantined for 48 hours.
“I’m really pleased to be back,” said Sarah, who has received numerous messages of support from clients and locals wishing her well on the shop’s reopening. “The community has been fantastic; there is so much support out there.
“In a way it feels like starting up a whole new business even though I’ve been here for 17 years! And I’m loving all the new stock we have. Summer has arrived!”
For the fashion-conscious in our new-normal world, Sarah is also selling snazzy face masks too. £12 a pop in small, medium and large.
The boutique is open Monday to Friday, 10.30am to 7pm, 10am to 6pm on Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday.
For enquiries email [email protected] or phone 0208 390 5673.
Also reopening today (Monday) are Clarks shoe shop in Victoria Road, Michael’s Shoes in Claremont Road (9am-4pm), Snappy Snaps in Victoria Road, and Three Peas in a Pod cafe in Brighton Road.
