Surbiton’s art shop – a fixture on the high street for two decades – is closing… and you only have a day or two to snap up half-price paints, paper, canvases, pens and easels.

Not only is all the stock 50% off, but the fixtures and fittings (including the till) are for sale as well.

“We’ve been here 19 and a half years,” said assistant Niru Patel. So is everything moving online? “No – that’s it,” he added. “When the stock goes, we close.”

Saturday June 27 is likely to be the last trading Saturday, and the shop, at 35 Victoria Road, opposite Sainsburys, expects to shut early next week.
