Surbiton has another pop-up Christmas market to look forward to tomorrow (Sunday).

Socially distanced stalls will be set out in Salon No13 at 13A Victoria Road on December 13 from noon-4pm, with the hairdressing chairs removed to create the market space.

Local arts and crafts businesses showing off their wares this Sunday include That’s Sew Phee, Laws Candle Co, Soakind, La Ori, True Indulgence Chocolate, Ginger Cakes, plus a return visit from Wild Reclamation and Jo Kheir Design.

Masks are mandatory, entry is free, and there’s a one-way system through the salon, so visitors will emerge in the St Philip’s Road car park, where the Halloumi Bite van will be sited for festive snacks.

Hair stylist Andrew Thompson, who has organised the pop-ups to help small local businesses, said. “This Sunday I have new stalls plus a couple from Sunday, and also potentially a Christmas carol concert outside if the weather permits.”

“I am offering them space in the salon free of charge, as a way of helping out the local community. Last Sunday was great. I was very happy for the stallholders that so many people called in and made purchases from them.”

Pictured last Sunday are: Tom Hooker and Hannah Folland of Wild Reclamation, top; Sara Wills of Miss Treacle Bakes; Vicky Drake of Paper & Cotton, Charlotte Douthwaite of Two Can Customise and Jo Kheir of Jo Kheir Design.
