Oxfam in Surbiton is looking for new recruits.

The charity shop in Victoria Road, which raises funds to fight global poverty, needs volunteers to work front of house and behind the scenes.

“There’s the option to do a bit of everything!” said area volunteer coordinator Judi Thompson.

Judi said the shop was a bit like a mini department store.

“There’s fashion, homewares, books, toys, music, films as well as our Sourced by Oxfam range of new products. It is probably best known for its fashion but the book department is also very popular.”

Volunteers will be able to work with customers and donors often serving at the till and keeping the shop “looking beautiful”, she said.

There is also the opportunity of helping behind-the-scenes, selecting and preparing items for sale.
