High street cordoned off after fight near Surbiton’s McDonald’s

Part of Surbiton high street is still cordoned off by police after a fight last night (Monday) left one man being rushed to hospital with a head injury. Part of Surbiton high street is still cordoned off by police after a fight last night (Monday) left one man being rushed to hospital with a head injury.

London Ambulance Service equipment is still strewn on the road between Poundland and McDonald’s after police and paramedics were called to the incident in Victoria Road around 9pm.

The man in his 30s was treated at the scene and then taken to a major trauma centre in south London. His condition is not known.

A 28-year-old man and a 32-year-old man were arrested nearby on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remain in custody.
