108-year-old May Comfort blows out the candles on her birthday cake.

May, who has been a resident at the Southborough Nursing Home since she was 103, is enjoying a day of celebrations today (Wednesday) with daughter Gil, granddaughter Emma, and fellow residents and staff at the home in Langley Avenue.

Chef Stanley Dabreo laid on a fine spread for the remarkable occasion.

There was also a big family gathering for May at the weekend with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and tomorrow (Thursday), the mayor of Kingston, Sushila Abraham, will be paying a visit.
