Then attend a free event at St Mary’s Church, Long Ditton, tomorrow (Thursday, July 21) at 7pm in the community hall behind the church in Church Road.

Former church warden Peter Topp will talk about the history of the church in Church Road – listed in the Domesday Book; curate Professor Alison Baverstock will talk about its graves – including the final resting place of Austin Partner, a local banker, drowned in the sinking of the Titanic, and Dr Chris Howard will explore the role of the church in the community.
