After beating Reading 1-0 in the final league game at Kingsmeadow of 2018, a rerun will be staged – same place, same opponents – in the Conti Cup in January.
Chelsea have been drawn at home to the Royals in the quarter-finals, with Man City drawing Brighton and Arsenal facing Birmingham.
The tie will either be played on Wednesday January 9 (possibly clashing with Chelsea men’s League Cup match away to Spurs) or on Thursday January 10.
It’s all building up to a possible expedition to Bramall Lane, home of Sheffield United, on February 23 for the final – just 180 minutes away.
That game will kick off at 12.15pm, and will be live on BT.
In the other quarter-final, Man Utd of the Championship are at home to West Ham – an interesting exploration of the stage United Women are at in their first season, ahead of their expected promotion to the top flight in May.
