The Community Brain – the events and community regeneration group – is asking people to take part in a survey about Tolworth’s green and open spaces.
“We’re running a community survey and would love people’s thoughts about what is important to them about the green and open spaces in Tolworth and their ideas for how they could be made even better,” said project co-ordinator for the group, Charlotte Levy.
Charlotte said that in these uncertain times it is more important than ever to have the opportunity to exercise and enjoy the use of open spaces near to us – such as Tolworth Court Farm Fields local nature reserve pictured above.
“The challenges of the past year have highlighted how important local open spaces are to our mental and physical health and wellbeing. Many people have discovered new routes on their doorstep throughout lockdown, and these spaces have been so much more than daily exercise.
“We want to see how they feel about these spaces, what they use them for and if their relationship with them has changed over the past year, as well as any improvements they may like to see in them in the future.
“We’d really like local residents help in completing this survey as frankly and fully as they can, and we’d be delighted if they could also share it with others, so they can help too.”
The short, online survey is available at www.thecommunitybrain.org/local-spaces-consultation
Printed copies will be available at community events later on in the year, and you can also request a copy of the survey by emailing [email protected]
