It’s been like Christmas for Sarah Taylor who runs Shoes at Last in Maple Road.

Boxes have been arriving at the Surbiton boutique since lockdown eased with the new spring collections from various designer labels – think the likes of Marble Scotland, Foil Clothing, Soya Concept, One Season, Focus and Ilse Jacobsen – and Sarah has been loving unwrapping the contents.

“Most of it is in now – all the bright colours – in fact all this room is new stock. I’ve got American, Italian, New Zealand, Scottish and Danish.”

Sarah is over the moon about welcoming back customers into the store rather than just trading online which she did in lockdown.

“It’s brilliant coming back; it’s great,” she said boxing up a pair of sparkly NeroGiardini navy-leather lace-ups for one happy client. “It’s good because people are really pleased; they are loving the stock; they are buying the stock. I am really happy and delighted – and I’ve also got a new website!”
