Clea Williams, pictured, explores the influence of female directors in theatre at the cornerHOUSE on Wednesday, November 17.
The creative facilitator, theatre director and educator, draws on her own experiences in producing plays for the stage as well as examining the roles of others who have influenced her and who have made significant contributions to the progression of women in leadership positions in the theatre.
Clea, artistic director of Summer Stock Theatre and a member of the Artistic Directors of the Future (2020 winner of The Stage Innovation Award), who started her career as a dancer and has worked in television and theatre, is returning to the arts centre in Douglas Road, Surbiton, after her hugely successful and much lauded production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream there in 2019.
Tickets for Celebrating the Influence of Female Theatre Directors, which starts at 7.45pm, are £4. To book visit www.ticketsource.co.uk/thecornerhouseevents
