Every Thursday afternoon, through the month of September, the Surbiton station forecourt will be closed to traffic and taxis so that Surbiton’s Town Centre Partnership can host a ‘Celebrate Surbiton’ market.

It starts at 4.30pm and continues, as commuters pour off the early-evening trains, until 8pm, with a variety of stalls, face-painting, portrait sketching, food choices (with central tables to sit and eat), a bar and live music.

Members of the Surbiton Town Centre Partnership will be there to explain other visions for improving the town in future. It’s free.
