Do you worry about the climate emergency? The rising air pollution? Food security? Flooding? The cost of living?

A People’s Emergency Briefing is being staged at the cornerHOUSE arts centre in Douglas Road, featuring a screening presentation by Kingston Friends of the Earth on behalf of the National Emergency Briefing organisation.

Communities across the UK are hosting screenings. The 50-minute documentary, exploring the impacts of climate and nature breakdown on everyday life in the UK, features leading scientists, a former general, and public figures including Chris Packham, Jennifer Saunders, Deborah Meaden and Jon Richardson.

It examines how the climate and nature crises affect all aspects of society, including food security, health and national security, while highlighting practical, positive solutions. It will conclude with an opportunity for discussion.

It’s on Fri Sept 11. Doors open 7pm, with the meeting starting at 7.30pm.

Entry is free, but pre-booking is advised at https://www.ticketsource.com/thecornerhouseevents/t-xdaelkg
