Surbiton Symphony Orchestra presents a pair of summery works by Beethoven and Dvořák at St Andrew’s church in Maple Road, featuring guest pianist Thomas Masciaga (pictured).

The orchestra, conducted by Peter Le Tissier, perform Beethoven’s final Emperor Concerto; a work of bombast and power that mixes Beethoven’s fiery nature with moments of sublime lyricism.

As lyricists go, there are few finer than Czech composer Antonin Dvořák. His 8th Symphony, in G Major, is considered the composer’s sunniest symphonic work, with long melodies, orchestral finesse and dexterity.
