To keep residents informed about the succession of roadworks coordinated by UK Power Networks to upgrade underground cables through Surbiton, principally around Ditton Road, a public information evening is being held at The Maypole.

The cables are linking Kingston and Chessington, future-proofing power supplies as demand for electricity grows with the boom in electric cars.
