Seething sardine festival
May 3 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Free

Each year, Surbitonians gather to celebrate the supposed tradition of sardine fishing in the Thames.
It’s a good excuse for a parade, food and drink, with arts and crafts stalls as well as live music.
It runs from noon-5pm in Claremont Gardens, with a ‘sardine catch’ in the river at Queen’s Prom, close to Raven’s Ait, and a fish barbecue at 3.15pm in Claremont Gardens.
