Ania Lepkowska has been running a dance summer school for those keen to learn Regency steps.

The final evening (£10) is on August 26 at the usual Regency dance venue, St Mark’s church hall.

“We will have an emphasis on basics, dance technique, space-awareness, posture and musicality, but also expanding on waltz and chassé steps, which are the two most common basic steps in Regency dancing,” said Ania.

Dances to be learnt include Lady Caroline Lee’s Waltz, and The Sailor’s Wife.

Bring water or other refreshments. Arrive around 7.50pm. Soft-soled shoes, please.
