In 2015, Thames Concerts Artistic Director Ben Costello introduced admission-free Surbiton Farmers’ Market day morning concerts, running parallel to the main evening series of professional musician’s concerts.

The idea is to showcase the work of young local performers as well as allowing audiences to experience chamber music on a smaller scale.

Those involved are free to present a programme of their choosing from any musical style or genre. This season, Kingston Grammar School students are the first to perform.
