No, it’s nothing to do with mobile phones! It’s the subject of local historian Dr David Kennedy’s talk to the Kingston Society meeting, 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

Tolworth’s apple store is a Gothic-style building which once formed part of the kitchen garden of Tolworth Hall, a grand home which burnt down in 1911.

It stands near the Tolworth Court Farm garden centre.

Dr Kennedy has been researching the origins of the apple storage tower, and will report his (illustrated) findings.
