This year is the 40^th anniversary of Poems on the Underground – the inspired use of blank advertising slots on tube trains to enliven the journeys of travellers and enrich an otherwise drab commute.

To mark it, the cornerHOUSE poetry group has invited Sara Chernaik – daughter of the American writer Judith Chernaik, who came up with the idea – to give an illustrated talk about the initiative.

Followed by an informal Q&A.

Bar open from 7pm, event starts at 7.30pm.
