Why Poetry Matters is the title of a poetry workshop organised by the BookBox literary club at St Mary’s Long Ditton community hall, featuring poets Heather Cook and Linda Huxley.

They will explore what poetry is, where their inspiration comes from and how to get started.

Given that research has shown that more people are engaged in writing poetry (it is argued this is one of the side effects of involvement in social media), their guidance should prove useful.
