Singing teacher Bec Gresson’s video of her family’s spoof lockdown song has gone viral with 62,000 views on Facebook.

Bec, of Grand Avenue, Berrylands, and her children Frank, 12, Kit, 10, and Mabel, 7, sang alternative words which had a lockdown theme to the tune of My Favourite Things sung by Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music.

“I actually wrote Rainbows in Windows for the Lucie Benson School of Dance where I teach singing,” explained Bec. “The principal, Vanessa Lucie, asked me to film a video with my own children that she could share on the dance school Facebook page to cheer everyone up.”

In normal times the school’s dance classes are held at Nuffield Health Surbiton Fitness & Wellbeing Gym in Portsmouth Road and Tolworth Recreation Centre, while singing is at its Saturday school in Putney, but since lockdown the lessons have moved online.
