You can help shape Kingston Council’s new housing strategy by completing a survey to let them know what you think.

The council is reviewing the range of accommodation available across the borough to understand where there are gaps and where it can meet residents’ needs – from finding a home to living independently in your own abode as you get older (and everything inbetween!)

“We are committed to ensuring there is a range of affordable and accessible housing in safe communities for Kingston residents,” said a council spokesman. “We want to review the range of accommodation available across Kingston and understand where there are gaps in provision.”

The council is keen to hear what it should be doing to support people to find a home; access affordable housing; live independently in their homes; ensure vulnerable and elderly residents are supported in their homes; live and work safely and to enjoy the amenities in their communities.

“We want to provide the opportunity that all views are heard and will try to ensure they are realistically reflected in our strategy and support the council’s overall objectives,” he added.
