Meet artist Terry Cripps at a special event on Tuesday night (December 15) at the cornerHOUSE in Surbiton to launch his exhibition Guildhall Abstracted.
The exhibition, which runs until January 4, was first shown last year at the City of London Guildhall Art Gallery and is a selection of aluminium plates and giclée prints inspired by paintings at the gallery.
Terry used his iPad as a tool in the year-long project. The results are abstract compositions – bright, joyful, tantalising compositions of colour and shape – by turns playful, teasing and mysterious.
Originally an illustrator, the Red Lion Road artist has exhibited in France and London, and has work displayed in permanent collections in San Francisco, New York, Tokyo, Johannesburg, and Stockholm. He also has work for sale at Saatchiart.com
The Meet the Artist event at the Douglas Road arts centre is from 7-9pm. The event is free but because of limited numbers due to Covid restrictions you should book in advance at www.ticketsource.co.uk/thecornerhouseevents
