Grab your picnic blanket and head off to the picturesque setting of Stokes Field for a weekend of bank holiday cricket.

The Hogs, in the form of the Long Ditton Cricket Club’s 2nd XI, will be hosting Wallington CC at the ground off Betts Way tomorrow (Saturday) 1pm start in a Fuller’s Brewery Surrey County League Division 1 fixture.

Also in attendance from noon until 8.30pm will be Halloumi Bite, perfect for those who want a ready-made picnic Greek style!

Then on Sunday, the club’s Sunday 1st XI play a friendly against Riverside CC (1.30pm start).

Laura Sheldrake of Doorstop Coffee will be at the ground serving hot drinks and home-baked cakes and pastries from Olive, her vintage Peugeot J7 van, between 9am and noon while the colts teams are playing.

Everyone welcome. Free admittance. The bar will also be open!
