The Queen’s televised funeral service will be screened in St Mark’s church on Monday, September 19 at 11am for people to gather to watch and pay their respects. The church on St Mark’s Hill, Surbiton, will remain open in the afternoon.

Until the day of the funeral, during this period of national mourning, St Mark’s will be open daily from 10am to 7pm for prayer, and for people to light a candle and sign a book of condolence.

“So many people have found things inspiring about the Queen; for me, her phenomenal dedication to continued service, right up to the week of her death, is a remarkable example,” said the vicar Rev Robert Stanier.
“Around Britain millions of people are paying their respects in different ways. If you’d like to watch her funeral with others, you can join us at St Mark’s, Surbiton at 11am next Monday where we will be screening the BBC coverage on our big screen.”
