A Ukrainian-themed event will take place this Bank Holiday Monday (May 2) from midday at St Mark’s Church in Surbiton to raise money for humanitarian aid and medical supplies for orphanages and children’s hospitals in the war-torn country.

The fundraising event, Surbiton for Ukrainian Children, will include a barbecue, food, prosecco, wine and cake stalls, arts and crafts classes, face painting, and a photo zone where you can accessorize Ukrainian style. There will also be a charity auction.

All welcome at the event organised by Save Ukraine CIC at the church on St Mark’s Hill.

Picture shows two of the event organisers Elena Ivanova and Iryna Karaban, who along with friends Tetyana Samina and Mariia Gordieieva, have been sorting and boxing essential supplies at the church to send out to Ukraine.
