Louise Anderson is an artist and printmaker who is inspired by the natural world. She is continually drawn to nature where she can find stillness and peace.
“Being in nature is like a meditation; time is lost, and you are able to clear your mind and wipe the slate clean,” said Anderson who studied at Kingston School of Art and then went on to do printmaking at Putney School of Art & Design.
Through this new body of work, Anderson, who also delivers arts-based workshops and activities at Kew Art Studio, Kingston Museum, the Landmark Arts Centre and Isleworth Art Club, explores the memories of loss and stillness by looking through the windows of life.
Her solo exhibition, What Window Are We Going To Go Through Today? at the cornerHOUSE in Douglas Road, Surbiton, which runs from March 1 to April 4, focuses on her printmaking, photography and cyanotype prints.
Meet the artist on Tuesday, March 3 from 7-9pm and find out more about her work. There will also be a short screen presentation. Free admission. Complimentary drink until 8pm.
