Whisper it – couture has arrived in Surbiton.
Fashion house Teresa Si has launched its new collection in the elegant surroundings of The Sanctuary.
An appreciative audience saw founder and creative director Teresa Scognamiglio, pictured, reveal her latest gowns which have been inspired by the mosaics of Herculaneum and Pompeii.
There were gasps and applause in the galleried hall as models showed off the Italian designer’s latest creations.
Teresa, who hails from a town called Salerno on the Amalfi coast, creates bespoke pieces for women and girls with her team in her new atelier off Oak Hill Grove.
She has over 15 years’ experience in couture, working for and collaborating with prestigious fashion houses in Italy, Australia and London – Vivienne Westwood, Ralph & Russo, Elie Saab and Catherine Walker.
She has even created a coat for Kate Middleton.
Teresa’s atelier specialises in bespoke, one-of-a-kind, gowns for special occasions, bridal wear (pictured), and red-carpet events.
Each piece is crafted by hand. It’s tailored couture which celebrates individuality.
